Can you believe it's been one year since we launched NoVA Girl Geek Dinners? Well, fall is near and we've planned another great event and hope all can make it out.  

NoVA GirlGeek Dinner #4 will be held at Nando's Peri Peri. We are also looking for a few speakers to present for no more than 15 minutes, so if you're interested DM us on twitter @novagirlgeeks or email us at novagirlgeekdinners[at]gmail[dot]com. Let us know by Wednesday, Sep 30.

Things to Know:

1. Nando's Peri Peri is metro accesible. (Red line to DuPont Circle)
2. When you walk in Nando's, walk to the back and go upstairs. We'll be in the private room to the right
3. All geeks are welcome to spread the word and come out to this event. Just register.

Northern Virginia Girl Geek Dinners (coordinated by Jessica Moss and Naomi Williams) is for ALL girl geeks in the MD/DC/VA tri-state area. We are an offshoot of the London Girl Geek Dinners, started by Sarah Blow.

 The Girl Geek Dinners are organised all over the world. They are great fun and provide a welcoming atmosphere for women to talk about technology in an informal environment. There is generally a speaker who talks for a short while on a chosen subject for the event.

The aim of these get-togethers is to provide a welcoming atmosphere and a platform for learning in an informal environment, to make technology accessible and to be of interest to all age groups and all people, particularly women. It is an opportunity for like-minded ‘girls’ to talk about technology over food and drinks.
